Here is my little commentary on some of the main characters in Naruto. Really I am NOT wanting to get flamed for this, I'm just bored and thought this would be fun.

Naruto -
Ok, this is the main character but not many people like him. He has some good characteristics, sure, but yeah he's and idiot, and the American dubs ruined him with the catch phrase "Believe It". Fans of just Naruto are rare, so if you got the balls to like 'em and be proud of it, I salute you.

Sasuke-
Really the only other main character who is looked down upon more than Naruto. Sure he has issues, but his character brings the darker twist into series that really fuels the plot into shippuden. I don't really like him because he's kinda retarded by running away I think, but I think he's given too much grief. Again, Sasuke fans are rare, (Or just plain psycho Yaoi fangirls or something) because even though he would be a hero to emo kids, most emos can't see past their tears and running eyeliner to appreciate an idol like Sasuke, or even watch the show for that matter.. Tough luck Duck-Butt head, you get more then your share of crap.

Sakura-
The third main, and yet, the third shamed. Not many really like her. She has little no respect until shippuden. But how could you not? She's got boobs and strength now, Tsunade in the making. Sure she has matured, but how could you not remember the sqealling, retarded-ness, and crying over Sasuke who she has no good reason to like beside he's "Cute". As a guy, I don't think many of us males like her that much either, so not really much going for her, because her retarded-ness of the past kinda permenantly scared her image.

Kakashi-
Finally, a character people don't hate. Really Kakashi has got good qualities. Sharingan, Raikiri, and a fun personality. Why isn't he massivley loved then? Probably because of his mask. Unfortunetly, he does get yaoied upon because fangirls will love him and find it oh so appropriate to put him with Iruka. Really now... but hey, it is kind of fun to see people photoshop his picture, taking off his mask, and post it making Kakashi fans flip and yell at the faker saying it's not real. But Kakashi has my respect, and so does his fans, atleast the ones who don't pair him with Iruka....

Lee-
Poor poor Lee. His badassery in taijutsu sometimes make up for his "Unique" look and win his way into the hearts of girls. Really, he's just the kid at school who likes the shallow girl, does everything for her, but gets nothing in return because of the stubborness of the girl. He's an awesome character that I've actually had the pleasure of Roleplaying on a major board, but that only means I've felt the pain of the neverending eyebrow jokes and comments on tights. As for the girls who love him for who he is and can see the good in him, good for you. Oh, and obviously he's straight because he loves Sakura, so no, he does not belong with Gaara. *Flees from the millions of GaaLee fangirls*

Neji-
Hmm, Neji is kinda difficult to talk about I guess. I think his personality is kind of bland, and his background story pretty much got introduced and resolved in two episodes. Not exactlly the center of much fans, but I have seen NejiHina which makes me twitch because of the inscest. And really, any pairing of Hinata that's not with Naruto doesn't make sense because Hinata is a stalker. Yeah, I said it, but I'll discuss that more later when I get to her.

Tenten-
Panda head, and labled the most usless character in the series. Really her jutsu seem to do nothing. It's hard to pair her because she keeps showing signs of liking Lee then Neji then Lee etc. But she's kind of given me no reason to like her, I don't like her bun headdedness. Not really a popular character I'm sure, but I bet she had her fans.

Gai-
Oh god, well, Lee's a big kid now I guess. I could really just post Lee's here but change all the names to Gai. He's kinda dumber then Lee though and it's corrupting the poor boy. I've seen one fanfic with him in it. He's paired up with Anko (of course Anko really not like she wouldn't do everyone) but yeah, he's probably got the body to be a sexy man, but green tights of course make everyone fall over and twitch.

Ino-
Well... like Sakura, except I think better looking, and more useful. Atleast she can work with her team properly because her boytoy idol isn't on it. But yet, she's a Sasuke fangirl, and any girl in any anime who obsesses over the dickhead negectful guy just because he's hot, really looses respect from me, so I can't really like her that much, even though she's pretty good looking, and has a neat kekki genkai.

Shikamaru-
Ohoho, Shikamaru. This ones loved. So many Shika fanboys and girls. And quite frankly, I think he's overrated. Yes I'm setting myself up for death, but it's my opinion. Really it's just because of the ShikaTema undertones mostly that get his popularity. The lazy genious is kind of overdone, so really he's not something that wows me. I think it's stupid too that he was crying that he failed a mission, but he's still cool and whatnot when Sasuke cries because his whole family was slaughtered by his brother, but that makes him an emo kid. Heck I think what made Shika cry was way less of a deal, but he gets babied. Even Kishimoto has kind of babied him recently to, developing his character especially. I don't like it, he's playing favorites. But, nonetheless, he's an ok character, but because he's so obsessed over by many, when I don't feel he deserves all the praise, I don't join the millions of fans.

Chouji-
Really I got no problem with Chouji. There's not many overweight anime characters that are strong. Usually the ones are losers and perverts or something. Heck, his butterfly form probably got him some fangirls to. Maybe it's because I'm thinking about Chouji just after ranting a bit over someone I don't really like, but Cho's not that bad at all.

Asuma-
WARNING! THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS!
Asuma died. Yes. And he knocked up Kurenai before they got married. Or maybe they got secretly married. But hey, I got nothing against premarrital sex Mr.Chainsmoker, just wear a condom or something.... come to think of it, do they have condoms? Well they got computers and headsets... oh great, now the ultra confusion about how much technology Naruto-verse has. Maybe they have a jutsu instead of the glove. I don't know, but his fans are sad now that a meanie head killed him. But if Hidan didn't get to him first, the cigs were next in line.

Kiba-
Oh Mr.Kiba-kins. My favorite guy in Naruto. So underlooked, and underapreciated. Really, it's like you take the fun loving attitude of Naruto, and in some common sense and subtract one catch phrase, you pretty much got a Kiba. I really love his character and his jutsu, but hate that his loses are SO conditional. Really,if Kiba fought any of the other sound 4, he would have won, but NO, he got the ONE GUY who can survive being ripped in half. And fighting Naruto, that's so dumb. Dogs can seperate smells, so if he had a dogs sense of smell, that wouldn't have happened. Kishimoto just couldn't think of a good, REAL way to stop the badassery of the doggy boy. I know theres some other fans of Kiba besides me, but I like how he's not a main focus of the universe, even though maybe he could deserve it >_>

Hinata-
Yay! Stalker lady! Really, this girl kind of reminds me of a friend from school. Decent looking, but no guts whatsoever to just ask someone out. I bet she'd get Naruto. But no, she'd rather play the stalker game. I mean how obvious is it? She can see through walls and stuff. She know what Naruto does in his free time, but as for me, I'd rather now know what shadow clones to behind closed doors.

Shino-
Bug man. He likes bugs. I kinda think he's funny after watching Naruto Abridged. He's just kind of creepy to the girls though which is why his fanbase is low. Really, I'm sure I'm not the only one who wonders where the bugs can come out, especially without that funky coat on. But I guess that could turn some girls on, but deffinetly not all.

Kurenai-
The one trick pony. Tree bind death. And we all know what happened with her and Asume. Wonder what they're going to do with her. Hopefully not another tree bind death. She does look good howerever, but it's hard to think possitivley for her knowing what she might look like in a couple of months.

Orochimaru-
Oh Michael Jackson as they call him. I wonder if nobody said anything about pedo undertones when Kishimoto pitched Oro. Maybe they did but they didn't care, but the whole "I want your body" story for him is... well... far from clean. Fans of him are deffinetly rare, even though his overdrive mode in the Naruto game for the 360 looks tight.

Kabuto-

Gaara (Of the Phunk)-
Oh Gaara, you have badassery, and proove that if Lee had no eyebrows and eyeliner he might be able to pull off cool. Yes yes, I know it's not eyeliner, but I'm sure Lee isn't going to get a Badger sealed in him anytimes soon. (Yes I know it's not a badger but I don't care.) But really, you have too many fangirls. Too many. It's not healthy dude. I'm sorry about your terrible pairings too. Incest, Yaoi, some that make no sense, and millions upon billions of pairings with OCs. But, I think you're cool though, it's just impossible to make you my favorite like the armies of Gaara lovers. It's just too expected.

Temari-
Probably closest to the best girl in the Naruto series if it wasn't for the fact that she's part two in the TemaShika undertones. I really hope she drops him like a rock or something. Witty, cute, and outfit ADD prone, she really has a lot to offer. Her hair style is kind of funky, but she actually can pull it off. Plus it adds a sense of sexiness when she takes it down. Although, she has a suprising bit of fans considering how rare she shows up, but it makes sense because all the girls want to be Temari so they can fondle the Shika-pineapple. But, nonetheless, she has a lot off redeeming qualities.

Kankuro-
Heheh, I think he's funny because he has kitty ears. Not many guys get to wear kitty ears and be considered straight still, but Kankure is too much of a "tough guy" to get put as a cupcake. But yeah, a lot of it comes with the deep voice, and I might actually be a Kankuro if it wasn't for the fact that I'm a bit more silly, and I refuse to because my girlfriends a Temari and I don't support sand sib incest. Sorry fangirls, I refuse to conform! >.<

Baki-
Umm... he looks retarded. Nobody likes him, even though he has a good effect in the card game. (P.S. If you just said "HEY I LIKE HIM!" when you read this, you don't count >_> )

Hayate Gekkou-
Yes kind of random, but I remembered, a lot of girls like him for some reason. Maybe because he looks like L from Deathnote with the eyes and all, but really, he coughed too much, and had less then 5 minutes of any actual good screen time, he's not one to really cry over, he was a pawn in Kishimotos plan to take over the world with brightly colored ninjas. I'm just warning you, "IT'S A TRAP!"

Itachi-
Too many people like him too. Weither it's because he tourtures Sasuke, or because he's built up to the the cool Bishi badguy. Unfortunetly even retarded kids like Itachi because they want to be cool, so the stupidest, non fitting people, will answer "I'd kill everyone" on a character test, when they havn't even considered killing anyone between asking their mommy for a hotpocket and playing the impossible quiz so much they can memorize it and post them playing it on youtube. Really, too many people want to be Itachi, it's not even funny anymore. He's just ruined for me because of all the clones and wannabees.

Kisame-
Or as I call him MR.BUBBLES! He's fun, a bad guy with a sense of humor (Kinda). Old fassioned, big ass sword swinging man, that's a SHARK! Plus his clone thing kicked Gai's ass, and that wasn't even half of what he really can do. He's probably my second favorite character. (I wonder how he'd look like if he Sexy Jutsu'd >_> )

Deidara-
Last character I'm doing for now since I'm getting tired of typing all this. Girl or guy, for so long that question was asked. It's a guy, yeup, androgeny brought to you straight from it's home of Japan. That gets him a lot of fangirls of course. To bad he went boom... permenently. And of course, there's that odd (what if) scenerio of what he REALLY does with the mouths on his hands. <_<
